Do you have a lap little Boo Boo can sit on? This 12yo yorkie mix is about 7 pounds, and a lap is her very favorite place to be.

Boo Boo still has some pep in her step. She'll occasionally run after a tennis ball, for example. But she's also content to just lounge with her family.

She gets along with other mellow dogs, but we're not sure how she feels about cats. She has lived in a home with chickens, guinea pigs, and rabbits, and she got along with them.

Some cats are deep thinkers. They like to sit back

Some cats are deep thinkers. They like to sit back, observe, and assess before they give their hearts away. Winchester is one such cat.

This guy is about 4yo, and he's an ebony beauty. As soon as we met him, we wanted to pet him. But Winchester is shy, and he needs time to trust. Give him that time, and he'll respond enthusiastically to any attention you give him. Push him too quickly, and he'll hide.

Winchester is also a social cat, and we think he'll do best in a home with other feline friends. If you have a lonely, gentle cat at home, you might be just what this boy needs.

We shared an adorable pup from our dog training class yesterday. Many of you reached out about adopting him. That sweetie has a home, but you can help with another special pup. Meet Kryptonite!

He's an 8yo Alaskan Malamute/Golden Retriever mix with a gentle nature and an incredibly warm heart. He has our staff and volunteers wrapped around his paw, as all of these amazing photos make abundantly clear. As much as we love him, he does not love shelter life. We'd like to find him the perfect home as quickly as we can. And you can help!

Kryptonite walks nicely on a leash, and as a senior pup, he doesn't want marathons. Just a stroll will do. He loves to spend time with humans, and he seems to enjoy the company of gentle dogs like him. No cats, please.
