These little noodles are resting up for the upcomi These little noodles are resting up for the upcoming weekend. They want to look and feel their very best for our special adoption event happening on Saturday (the 18th) from 11a to 7p at PetSmart ( 2925 Lancaster Dr NE, Salem). We'll have more than 40 cats and kittens at the event, and we'd like all of them to head home. The shelter is very full right now, and each adoption helps us make space for other animals in need. And we know these felines would love to leave shelter life behind and head into a happier future. Some of the cats heading to this event, including this crew, love other cats. That's good news! During the event, we're offering cat BOGO pricing. Choose two cats and pay nothing for the cat with the smaller adoption fee. Help us spread the word! It's been said that there is someone out there for It's been said that there is someone out there for everyone. Sweet Buddy here sure hopes that's true. This 5yo lab mix has been looking for the right family for quite some time. While many people have expressed interest in him, the right people haven't stepped up quite yet. Maybe you can help make that happen! Like many of his breed, Buddy is lively and active. He would love to go running, hiking, camping, and more with someone just like you. He can settle with his loved ones, and he enjoys a good cuddle session. But he really will need someone who stays on the go, so he can give that lab mind a good workout. He gets very excited when he sees other dogs, and he's been making great strides with our training team on his exuberant greetings. He won't be a great dog park pup, as some dogs don't appreciate his over-the-top play style. Can you help us spread the word about Buddy? Applications start the adoption process. The third week in September is Adopt a Less-Adopta The third week in September is Adopt a Less-Adoptable Pet Week. It's a good time to introduce you to Edward! He may be handsome as all getout, and at 3yo, he's a young gent. But he's a bit harder to find a family for as he doesn't get along with other cats. Edward has an incredibly rough and rowdy play style that some cats (including kittens) find very intimidating. When they attempt to end the play, Edward can be redirected with toys. But if humans aren't there to intervene, rough play can continue. Edward is likely to be happiest as your only cat. And with his big personality, he's really all the cat any family will need. He loves to play with interactive toys, such as wands humans hold, and he'll keep you entertained with leaps and bounds. He's sweetly affectionate too, and he loves lap time.
