Have you ever thought, I really like cats, but I just love to see those little dog tails wagging? Well, look no more. My name is Lorenzo and I am part Manx. You see, the unique thing about Manx cats is they either have no tail or a short one, and my tail is only about 3 inches long. When I am relaxed and happy, my tail whips around, just like a little dog.
I was brought to the shelter as a stray and I wasn't too sure about the situation. I went to a foster home for a while to build my confidence and I started to blossom after a couple of weeks. I love to be petted and get a good head rub. I have been known to hop into a lap or to just lay by your chair in the evening, just to get some extra attention. And if you want to hear a loud bass purr, I am your cat.
I am still a little unsure about any sudden movements, particularly if you are standing to approach me. If you sit by me, I will be right there to get some love. I am getting less scared every day but I will need a slow introduction to new people and pets. For the most part, other than my loud purr, I am a quiet cat except for a few meows in the evening, just to let you know that I am still around.
I get along fine with my fellow cats. I am not much of a cat toy person, but I have been interested in that catnip mouse. It smells wonderful!
Since I am still a little shy, I would probably do best in a home without little kids.
Now, like some humans, I do have a little problem with my thyroid. I get medicine twice a day but I am very cooperative, because I want to stay healthy. Come and see me soon and you'll see what a great guy I am.
