On Thursday, March 26, at 11 a.m., national representatives from Subaru of America and local leaders of Capitol Subaru will present a check for $33,000 to Willamette Humane Society (WHS) as the culmination of their holiday season “Share the Love” event.
Subaru of America, Inc. announced it would donate $15 million to charitable partners during its seventh annual “Share the Love” event. In 2013, Subaru donated $10 million to “Share the Love” charities, and over the course of the six year program, Subaru has donated a total of $35 million.
Subaru donated $250 to a customer’s choice of charities for new vehicles, sold or leased, between Nov. 20, 2014, and Jan. 2, 2015. Capitol Subaru in Salem chose WHS as their local hometown charity. Other national options included: American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®, Make-A-Wish, Meals On Wheels Association of America® and National Park Foundation.Visit Capitol Subaru Online

At the check presentation, Willamette Humane Society leaders will attend with dogs, volunteers, and pet lovers to thank Subaru of America for instituting the Share the Love event, and to thank Capitol Subaru for choosing to support animals at the shelter.
Willamette Humane Society encourages community members who participated in Subaru’s Share the Love Event to share their experience online using the hashtags #sharethelovewithWHS, #sharethelove, #subaru, and #whs4pets.
He loved to hear new ideas and work on projects that improve the way Willamette Humane Society provides compassionate services to pets and people.
