Meet Kallie (And Some Other Kitty Friends)

Kallie

This week, I spent some time with sweet senior Kallie. And it’s a good thing, too! This personable girl is just full of affection and she’s bursting at the seams to make a good impression. As a result, I snapped some pretty good photos, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Kallie’s Past

See the kitty photobomb? Look closely.

Kallie came to the shelter just a few weeks ago, due to an eruption of allergies in the family. From what I can tell, she’s lived with the same family her whole life, and she has impeccable manners as a result. She’s a bit of a messy eater, but she always uses the litterbox, and she doesn’t have a history of destroying things.

In addition to good manners, Kallie has an excellent history with other pets. She’s lived with another cat, and she’s loved a large-breed dog. So a multi-pet home should be just fine for this girl.

And little kids? Kallie loves them. She did just fine with the little ones in her last home.

Kallie’s Present

When Kallie came to the shelter, she was a little stressed and uncomfortable, growling during her intake exam. But all of that is far, far gone right now. In fact, Kallie is the belle of the ball at the shelter right now.

This girl yells at passers by, trying to entice them to open her door and love her. People who do open that door are treated to a spectacle of chin rubs, head bumps, kneading and purring. Kallie is everywhere at once, just to tell you how much she loves you.

Kallie’s Future

This precious, 10-year-old girl is eligible for free vet exams for life through the generosity of Evergreen Veterinary Hospital. Isn’t that great?

And, when you come to pick up Kallie, consider taking her home with some catnip. She just loves the stuff. Here’s video proof!

Special Shout-Out: Max

Have you had a chance to meet Max? This darling boy is 11 years old, and he’s just full of love. He came to the shelter in the middle of December due to a death in the family, and from what I can tell, he was deeply loved in that home. His family reports that he “just wants love,” and he’ll take pets over almost anything else, including playtime, eating and grooming. He wants a lap, and he wants it now.

Max is also eligible for free vet exams for life through Evergreen Veterinary Hospital, by the way, and he has many years of healthy life left ahead of him.

I’m hoping someone will take a chance on this sweet, soft senior.

Bonus Beauty: Russell

Some cats are born models. And you know who fits into that category? Russell.

This 7-year-old Bombay mix has been waiting for a home since the middle of December, and I’m thinking there must be someone out there who is desperate for a cat that can pose for photographs. Ever wanted to start your own cat blog? Russell is your man. He’ll pose all day, if you let him.

This sweetie came the shelter from a multi-pet home, so it’s likely he would do just as well in another similar home. And his gentle and tolerant nature might make him an excellent companion for children.

And yes, Russell is very gentle. He loves to be petted and cuddled, and he has the sweetest and softest purr in the world. You simply must see him to believe him, and I hope you’ll do that this week.

So that’s it for this week! As always, please share this post with everyone in your social circle. These pets would love to go home right now!
