Thinking of adding a new four-legged friend to the family soon? We are so glad to hear you’re considering adopting! If you find a pet you love at Willamette Humane Society, you are able to place a brief “hold” on that pet before finalizing the adoption. It’s a great option for families who need a little additional time to complete the adoption process, but we are making some changes to the program we want you to know about.
Starting December 1, our hold fee will increase to $25. This nonrefundable fee will be applied to your adoption fee when you take your new family member home! Holds must be placed in person, so you can stop by the shelter anytime we are open to meet our adoptable pets and place a hold: Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 12-7 p.m., as well as Saturday and Sunday from 12-6 p.m.
For additional information on our updated hold policy, please click here. You can also contact the shelter at 503-585-5900 with any questions. We are excited to help you find that perfect four-legged family member.
