Petco Foundation Invests In Lifesaving Work of Willamette Humane Society
Grant of $20,000 Extends Individualized Care for Adoptable Pets in Willamette Valley
SALEM, Ore. ─ January 26, 2017 ─ Willamette Humane Society announced it was awarded a $20,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support essential animal care initiatives for adoptable pets in Marion and Polk counties.
The Petco Foundation investment will help continue the tailored care Willamette Humane Society provides for stray and surrendered pets. Customized rehabilitation programs, medical treatment, and training routines, developed by trained shelter staff and volunteers, are core pieces of the shelter’s continuous effort to better serve companion animals in the local community.
“The Petco Foundation’s ongoing support has empowered our staff and volunteers to invest even further in the animals that come through our doors,” said Betsy Bode, Operations Director, Willamette Humane Society. “Personalized care enables us to more carefully address the individualized needs of an animal and ultimately save more lives.”
