Eight years ago, three little sisters created a home for an older couple and their son. It all came to a traumatic end when their mobile home went up in flames. With nothing to salvage, and no money to spare, the family fled … and left behind Alberta, Bridgette, and Collette because they couldn’t afford to take them.
The landlord knew they couldn’t survive in a smoke-damaged “shell” of a home, so she scraped up $50 and asked us to help.
Thanks to a partnership with Salem Friends of Felines, they’re our guests … until they can find a new forever home. Each sister is unique and beautiful.
Alberta will be the first to greet you; she’ll jump up to purr by your side. She’s the grey and white “over achiever.” She’ll look you straight in the eye, as if to say “are you the one?” She won’t let you out of her sight.
Following close behind but shy is the brunette, Collette. She’ll probably lurk in the corner, but she responds when you talk to her.
Look up and you might find blue-eyed Bridgette perched above. She will roll and stretch, purring, as you pet her. She’s worth the wait!
Ideally, this little family should stay together, but we’d be grateful if they could be adopted in pairs; Alberta is especially attached to Collette.
Please, come in to see them … even if just to visit and tell them everything will be all right … someday, soon. They’ll love the company!
