Gamberetti’s Italian Restaurant hosted a sold-out dinner for 90 community members on Thursday, January 21, 2014.   The dinner price was $43- the cost of a feral cat surgery package at the WHS Spay & Neuter Clinic.
The WHS Board of Directors planned the evening in an effort to raise funds to support the sterilization of unowned community cats. There are an estimated 70,000 community cats in Marion & Polk County.  Currently, only 2% of them are sterilized, and they produce around 80% of the kittens Willamette Humane Society receives every year.
[box style=”blue”]Thank you to our generous sponsors, donors, and attendees!  Also, thank you to anyone who shared the event, volunteered, or who otherwise works to serve community cats![/box]
Net income from the dinner and donations is $8,618, enough to fund 200 spay & Neuter surgeries!  Providing surgery for these cats- at no charge to those attempting to care for them, will help Willamette Humane Society achieve our goal of stabilizing the cat population in Marion and Polk counties.
The Feral Cat Package includes sterilization surgery, rabies vaccination, flea & ear mite treatment, and an eartip.

Thank You Sponsors
