More than 95% of Willamette Humane Society support comes from our local community. Thank you! You may receive solicitations by postal mail. phone, e-mail, or see a post on Facebook. There will always be multiple options for giving or pledge fulfillment – online, by return mail, or in person at the shelter or Thrift Store.
There are many Community Fundraisers held by wonderful people and groups for our pets, but please be vigilant for potential fraud.
If you have concerns that you received a fraudulent donation request, please call us at 503-585-5900 ext. 304, or e-mail to email@example.com.
Red flags for fraudulent donation requests:
- Someone comes door-to-door to ask for a donation. Willamette Humane Society does not conduct door-to-door donation drives.
- The person or group indicates they will donate a portion of your purchase to the Humane Society, but doesn’t specify the percentage or amount, or can’t provide credentials.
- The group’s fundraising efforts aren’t listed in the Community Fundraiser section of whs4pets.org, or acknowledged on our Facebook page.
