Halloween might be all about spooky and frightful things, but there’s nothing scary about what happened at Bowser’s Boo Bash 2016. With your help, we raised over $129,000 to benefit pets in Marion and Polk counties. The event was held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Keizer Civic Center in Keizer, Oregon.
Presented by Capitol Subaru, Bowser’s Boo Bash is Willamette Humane Society’s biggest event of the year. But none of it would have been possible without more than 400 donors, friends, and volunteers who attended. Thank you for continuing to support the pets in our community.
From WHS Executive Director BJ Andersen:
Dear Friends of WHS,
Halloween might be over, but I still have goosebumps. Thank you to each and every one of you who joined us Bowser’s Boo Bash 2016, presented by Capitol Subaru. Together we raised more than $129,000 to support the pets of Willamette Humane Society. There were plenty of spooky characters there (more than 400 of you, in fact), but there was nothing scary about the generosity and kindness we saw throughout the evening.
Many of you know that Bowser’s Boo Bash is our biggest fundraising event of the year. The time and effort that went into the costumes was obvious, from pirates and devils to superheroes and angels. But the passion for pets in our community was even more obvious.
I’m thinking of Tom Midgley and Sally again… Are you? Their story was our Special Appeal at this year’s Boo Bash ─ and one more example of why this year’s event was such a success:
I hope to see you at next year’s event on Saturday 28, October 2017. Save the date!
