Bowser’s Boo Bash is Willamette Humane Society’s annual costume party, dinner and auction benefiting the animals, presented by Capitol Subaru.
Thank you for supporting Bowser's Boo Bash on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Salem Convention Center. Your support raised over $132,000 for the animals at Willamette Humane Society, with 556 attendees!
Please tell us about your night in our guest satisfaction survey, browse event photos, and share our special appeal video about Milly with your friends!
People from all walks of life- over 550- attended Bowser’s Boo Bash this year. As Willamette Humane Society supporters we all share the same dream of a future where every dog and cat in our community has a loving home.
That passion for kindness inspires each of us, and is what inspired a small group of people to start this organization, against huge odds, in 1965. Pet overpopulation was overwhelming, but they had a dream of a home for every adoptable pet.
Fifty years later, we are almost to the goal: saving all who can be saved. It means saving all but the most unmanageable medical and behavior cases.
This year, your support allowed us to save hundreds more pets through innovative programs like Kitten Kaboodle, our off-site adoption center where>over 200 kittens found their homes, and our “let settle” space, where stressed cats have time to adjust to the shelter.
Your support allows us to save more of the most vulnerable animals, including Kittens like Milly, featured in our video for the Special Appeal at the Boo Bash.
What happens when we’ve reached our goal? We take the next step and save the most challenging cases: the intensive care orphan
kittens, the behaviorally challenged dogs, the sick cats. We purchase medical equipment to care for senior pets, spay and neuter more stray cats, and provide assistance to help low income pet owners keep their pets.
Our shelter has evolved dramatically thanks to your steadfast support of our vision and mission. So, whether you have been with us since 1965, or you’re here for the first time this year, as a supporter, a volunteer or a staff member, I say, with all my heart, THANK YOU!
We couldn’t do this without YOU!
