Willamette Humane Society and Capitol Subaru Team Up in 2018 National Share the Love Campaign
The annual campaign has raised more than $183,500 for local pets since 2015
SALEM, Ore. ─ Nov. 16, 2018 ─ For the fifth year in a row, Willamette Humane Society (WHS) has been selected as the hometown charity of choice by Capitol Subaru for Subaru of America, Inc.’s national Share the Love campaign. The annual Share the Love campaign has raised more than $183,500 to date for adoptable cats and dogs across Marion and Polk counties.
“Each year, the Share the Love campaign makes a lasting impact for our local humane society, as well as our local community,” said BJ Andersen, Willamette Humane Society Executive Director. “The funds raised by Capitol Subaru and the community make numerous life-saving programs at WHS possible, such as low-cost spay and neuter services and quality medical treatment of animals suffering from injury or illness. Our community members love their pets just as much as they love their Subarus.”
To participate, consumers must buy or lease a new Subaru between November 16, 2018, and January 2, 2019, and name Willamette Humane Society as the charity of choice. Subaru of America, Inc. will donate $250 for each new vehicle leased or sold. Share the Love is a national giving campaign benefitting more than 680 local charitable organizations across the country, as well as four national nonprofit partners: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®), Make-A-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America® and National Park Foundation.
