Willamette Humane Society Named Capitol Subaru’s Hometown Charity in 2017 National Share the Love Campaign
The annual campaign has raised more than $125,000 for local pets in the past three years
SALEM, Ore. ─ Nov. 16, 2017 ─ Willamette Humane Society (WHS) was named the hometown charity of choice by Capitol Subaru for Subaru of America, Inc.’s 2017 national Share the Love campaign. This is the fourth year Capitol Subaru has chosen to support local pets in partnership with WHS.
The annual campaign has raised more than $125,000 to date for animals in Marion and Polk counties, funding numerous life saving programs at the shelter such as low-cost spay and neuter services and quality medical treatment of animals suffering from injury or illness.
“Each year we are in awe of Capitol Subaru’s incredible support of Willamette Humane Society through the Share the Love campaign,” said Sherri Partridge, WHS Director of Development and Community Relations. “We are so grateful for not only their financial support, but also their commitment to making a positive impact in our community by helping people and homeless pets find their perfect match.”
To participate, consumers must buy or lease a new Subaru between November 16, 2017, and January 2, 2018, and name Willamette Humane Society as the charity of choice. Subaru of America, Inc. will donate $250 for each new vehicle leased or sold. Share the Love is a national giving campaign benefitting more than 660 local charitable organizations across the country, as well as four national nonprofit partners: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®), Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America and National Park Foundation.
