On December 20, 2018, Willamette Humane Society received a call from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office about a case of animal neglect. Soon after, we received 32 cats, ranging from kittens to geriatric seniors, and in varying health conditions. This is the most extreme hoarding case Willamette Humane Society has seen in recent years.
Our medical team, along with members of the Oregon Humane Society‘s medical staff, are doing everything possible to help these precious felines. We are working closely with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in this ongoing investigation.
Right now, the health and safety of these pets is our primary concern. We are grateful to our local law enforcement and community for caring so deeply about the welfare of our four-legged citizens.
Please send these kitties your love. They’ve got a tough road ahead, but are in capable and caring hands. Additional information will be shared as soon as possible.
