Imagine that you adopted Buddy, the 5yo lab (and h Imagine that you adopted Buddy, the 5yo lab (and he really wishes you would!). What should you say if he starts to make a choice you don't agree with? Dogs often want to do things we humans don't like (such as digging in the garbage or chewing on cords). Teaching a positive interrupter cue, such as "Excuse me" gives your dog a positive choice. Rather than chewing on that cord, the dog can come to you for a treat! There's something very special about this big girl There's something very special about this big girl named Fluffers. Maybe it's her bright-green eyes. Maybe it's her marbled fur. Or maybe it's her winning personality. Whatever it is, we love her! Fluffers is about 5 years old, and she is a big girl at almost 16 pounds. She would likely be happier and healthier at a smaller size, and thankfully, she loves to play! Regular exercise with her family and a healthy diet will be great for her. She has always lived as the only pet, but she gets along nicely with the other cats in her suite. She might enjoy a feline roommate. Fluffers does have a little spice to even out her sweetness, and she has been known to express herself from time to time. A cat-savvy home will be great for her. Interested in meeting Fluffers? We have a very special story to share with you tod We have a very special story to share with you today. Meet Amigo! He's a very sweet little orange tabby with a sad backstory. This poor guy was hit by a car in Salem a few weeks ago, and his shoulder was very sore and swollen. He also had a terrible cold and a bad case of fleas. Because of people just like you, Amigo got the care he needed. His shoulder healed beautifully, his cold faded, and he grew bigger and stronger. Just last week, he was adopted by a loving family. Can you help us prepare for the next Amigo? Our biggest fundraiser of the year, Bowser's Boo Bash, is happening now. We still have a few tickets left for the in-person event happening 10/23.
