Subaru Shares $57,000 Worth of Love with WHS Pets

We know this past year was challenging for so many reasons, but thanks to our community members and Capitol Subaru, our shelter animals are really feeling the love. Together, you helped raise more than $57,000 to support adoptable cats and dogs at Willamette Humane Society through the annual Share the Love campaign

Each year, the money raised from Share the Love supports numerous life-saving programs through WHS, including critical medical care for dogs like Timmy who came to the shelter with a severe injury to his front leg and needed extensive surgery. The campaign has raised more than $337,000 for shelter animals since the partnership began.

From November 19, 2020, to January 4, 2021, Subaru of America donated $250 for each new Subaru sold or leased through Capitol Subaru. Each buyer had the opportunity to choose a nonprofit to support with that $250 donation—one of four national charities or a hometown organization. For the sixth year in a row, WHS had the honor of being named Capitol Subaru’s hometown charity of choice. And once again, Salem Subaru drivers proved they love pets.

The entire WHS team is so thankful to our community and our partners at Capitol Subaru for making this year’s Share the Love event such a success!
